Verdict

TAHREEK (NAP) ended last season with a victory over today’s trip at Leicester and will be sharper for a recent third over 7f here when well clear of the rest. Sir Michael Stoute’s charge should be winning again this year off his current mark and is preferred to Ballard Down. The latter made a winning start for new connections at Windsor having switched to David Pipe’s yard after picking up a claimer at Wolverhampton and is 4lb higher today. Cliffs Of Capri has every chance at this level if at his best on his return from a lay-off while Via Serendipity won the Shergar Mile at Ascot last year though has yet to score on the all-weather and Qaysar has so far done all his winning over 7f.
