Captain Dion won easily over 6f at Pontefract last time though has yet to win over this longer trip in 10 previous attempts. But MEZMAAR was scoring over course and distance off a 6lb higher mark last summer and looks set for a return to winning ways after going close at Lingfield last week. Kafoo won over a mile here in March and can figure while Simba Samba scored at Newcastle in the same month and has his second outing after wind surgery. Cristal Pallas Cat hasn’t won for sometime but could make the frame and looks best of the rest.
