      Verdict

      It was soft ground when TALYANI made a winning start at Ripon at the start of the month but he finished six lengths clear of the third and may prove the one to beat if as effective on this surface. Inexorable Tide was tailed off on his handicap debut on Turf but opened his account in an all-weather maiden at Wolverhampton last time. Ajmal Ihsaas has yet to improve on a debut second at Ascot in three subsequent outings but Gossiping looks a threat back at this level after returning a losing favourite in a Newmarket handicap.
