In depth

Verdict

Runner-up in the Spring Mile at Doncaster at the start of the season, ACQUITTED (NAP) came up short when sent off favourite for the Victoria Cup at Ascot last month but he’s fitted with both a tongue-tie and blinkers today and should go close in this lesser company. Jumaira Bay was well beaten in the Victoria Cup having placed at Newbury before that but Pistoletto finished a close-up third at Goodwood last time. Margub was beaten in soft ground at the same track having earlier won at Wolverhampton when beating Gobi Sunset with Amber Island making most appeal of the rest.
