        Verdict

        Boom The Groom could only manage fifth in last year’s renewal with Dynamo Walt and a below-par VERNE CASTLE further behind. But the latter has a run under his belt this time and the five-times course and distance winner gets a speculative vote to return to his best in a competitive sprint. Shamshon was beaten by Boom The Groom at Wolverhampton last month but King Robert’s recent placed efforts have come over 6f. Newcastle winner Primo's Comet is upped in class and Bosham has been off the track since September while Something Lucky was due to run at Southwell yesterday.
