        Verdict

        Duke Debonair finished closer at Wolverhampton on his latest start and steps up in trip for his handicap debut. Caledonia Laird has struggled since scoring over track and trip in November when CARIBBEAN SPRING was beaten less than a length. The latter can be excused a below par run on the Fibresand subsequently and gets a chance to reverse running in this. Sharp Operator was beaten over 1m2f last time but won over course and distance before that and makes more appeal than The Eagle's Nest and Elusif despite returning from a lay-off.
