SAN QUENTIN carries 6lb extra but returned a clear winner over 1m4f at Kempton last week and this longer trip should be within his compass on that evidence. Cosmic Statesman was placed over today's distance at Wolverhampton last time, when ahead of subsequent winner Smugglers Lane and Easydoesit, and that form looks solid enough. Bracken Brae has been hurdling but was placed over track and trip off a similar mark in October and is another to consider while Sylvette slides further down the weights and could go well.
