In depth

Verdict

Poniros made a winning debut when successful over a shorter trip at Nottingham but is penalised and TRIBAL STAR can take advantage of the weight concession. The latter was no match for the winner on testing going at Newmarket but finished clear of the rest and this surface will be more to his liking. Align The Stars has been in the mix in both outings so far but Dr Hackenbush was a long way behind the selection at HQ. The latter’s stablemate Chain Of Command is a Coolmore-owned brother to a Group 3 winner and a half-brother to several others and is preferred to Turing and Carnival Day.
