    Verdict

Danehill Kodiac and WEEKENDER are clear of the rest on today’s terms and the latter won last year’s renewal. Both ran poorly in the Sagaro Stakes over 2m at Ascot last week but John Gosden’s charge gets the vote to return to form on his third over today’s trip in September’s Irish St Leger. Danehill Kodiac has every chance if reproducing his placed effort in last season’s Ormonde Stakes at Chester but Blakeney Point has a bit to find with selection on running in the Ebor and Higher Power is best over further. Cohesion hasn’t raced since 2017 and is even harder to recommend.
