SPICE WAR was probably acquired with hurdling in mind but has won both starts on the Flat since joining Oliver Sherwood. He made all to win cosily over 1m6f here a fortnight ago and can defy a 5lb rise over this extra distance. Jeweller looks the main threat fitted with blinkers having placed over a shorter trip here on his handicap debut but Mr Nice Guy disappointed upped to 1m6f at Lingfield last time. Volcanique didn’t take to the Fibresand at Southwell on his latest start but is preferred of the remainder having finished runner-up over track and trip before that.
