    Verdict

PRIDE OF AMERICA had established a clear lead turning for home over 1m3f here last time and the runner-up Capital Theory never looked like catching him. That was his first start since last summer having undergone wind surgery during the interim and Amy Murphy’s charge can go in again. Chichester finished in front of Greatgadian at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day and finished a long way ahead of Power Of States when dropped back to a mile at Newcastle. He won easily on that occasion but is 10lb higher today.
