In depth

Verdict

Wolverhampton maiden winner MIDDLE EAST PEARL can return to winning ways. Placed in her last couple of outings over the minimum trip at Kempton, she makes more appeal than Vejovis, a winner over 7f at Lingfield off a 5lb lower mark. Mary Ann Bugg paid the price for separating a couple of higher rated horses when runner-up in a maiden race last month and was raised 20lb. She has failed to figure since and Midnight Destiny may prove a bigger threat on her return to action after ending last year with a third at Leicester.
