Quart De Garde went close to making a winning debut for Donald McCain here in December and should be right in the firing line on that evidence. The French import makes appeal but we'll take a chance with ECHO DU LARGE who should be available at a decent each-way price. He was beaten 20l by a couple of very decent sorts last time at Chepstow but ran better than the final distances indicate. He looks one for handicaps in time but represents a speculative choice here. Apple Rock and Mandalayan should both improve on achievements to date, whilst similar comments apply to Falberto who made a satisfactory hurdling debut at Chepstow this month.
