Although there is a large turnout here, most can be discounted, and unless one of the newcomers is anything special, it should really be between Bushido, Montessori Mio and Fundamental. The latter is trained just down the A1 by Tom Tate and looks to be going the right way, judged on his two runs over timber, the first of which was over the course and distance. A maiden on the Flat, this half-brother to Intersky Falcon will come into his own over a longer trip. Montessori Mio was a beaten favourite last time out and has had more chances than most. However, the fact that he hails from a stable who excel here should not go unnoticed. The one they have to beat though is surely Bushido from the in-form Sue Smith yard. The ex-Irish performer has twice finished second over the track and trip, and although the form of both events is hardly great, he has stuck to his task well and with the experience under his belt, can make it third time lucky.
