Irish import ITALIAN RIVIERA (NAP) made a successful debut for Ken Slack at Kelso last month and has since scored on the Flat here from today's rival Cape Hideaway so could still be well handicapped and gets the vote. The latter hasn't had much experience over hurdles and was beaten 12 lengths when runner-up at Uttoxeter but Danceintothelight won here last December and again at Musselburgh in February, though didn't perform quite as well at Bangor last time. Professor Plum started off with two bumper victories in 2014 and, though not seen since last September, looks the type to do much better over hurdles this campaign. Civil Unrest scored over fences at Hexham last month but jumped poorly on his return to hurdling at Musselburgh.
