In depth

Verdict

The selection here is Bedlam Boy, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Supremely Gifted and Ice Tea, although the betting should be monitored with interest. Bedlam Boy ran as though he needed the run when second to Reel Charmer at Hexham on his seasonal return, and we expect a lot better today. Cupid's Mission is interesting in that she cost 34.000 euros, while, coming here on the back of a bumper win and second, Ice Tea has to be respected on his hurdling debut. King Daniel has shown some promise, but was well behind the selection at Hexham, and Nortonthorpe Lad and Notre Cyborg are bumper winners that should be given some thought. Supremely Gifted is a well-bred runner that has shown promise in bumpers and, finally, dual bumper winner Bayside has not looked as good in two hurdling runs, although the betting might tell a different story. Overall, though, the vote stays with Bedlam's Boy, who can build on his Hexham promise.
