In depth

Verdict

A runner-up the last twice, Pinch Of Ginger failed to threaten the winner on either occasion though should be thereabouts at the finish again. Oregon Gold was still beaten a distance when second at Southwell and gets a change of headgear while Bocasien Desbois has been well beaten either side of scoring at Hexham so PADDLING makes most appeal. The latter is creeping steadily closer and, having been denied by less than a length over course and distance last month, Micky Hammond’s charge gets the vote with a conditional taking 3lb off his back today.
