Verdict
Kieren Fallon's presence on Pettochside is interesting, though Chris Gordon's charge has never won from a mark this high. Meandmyshadow bounced back to winning form in a muddling race at Newcastle and, though carrying a penalty, she's won off a higher mark in the past. After a victory at Ayr, Layla's Hero couldn't quite cope with a penalty at Doncaster and is up another 1lb though his overall form puts him in the picture. Jumbo Steps hasn't won since joining Jim Goldie from Ireland so a chance is taken on SHOWTIME STAR. Alan Swinbank's charge hasn't had much racing and didn't run well over the minimum trip here a couple of weeks ago but had earlier only been beaten a short-head over the course and distance, with the veteran Red Cape just behind, and can get off the mark.
