The application of a first-time visor helped Admiral Bond to produce his best effort so far, and trainer Geoff Oldroyd will be hoping that first-time blinkers here might have the same effect, and we'll side with him. Admiral Bond has a few pounds in hand on his rivals on official ratings, and his general level of form has been decent and he is unexposed at this trip still, so he looks worth chancing. Eton Rifles ran a very quiet debut but the booking of Seb Sanders here suggests that the Howard Johnson inmate may be about to show a fair bit of improvement so watch the market there. Forrest Star would not have been contesting maidens of the same strength as that of the selection, but nevertheless she has shown a reasonable level of form in context and could again make the frame. Tugalu is not out of it if the ground does not get soft, but preference today is for Admiral Bond.
