Russian Royale won a division of this race last year and is back on the same mark though was well beaten over 1m6f here last time. Monaco Rose wasn’t beaten far when fourth over 1m2f at Redcar and stays this far while Serenity Now was narrowly beaten at Southwell when last seen on the Flat. But UP TEN DOWN TWO has been making up for lost time and has won two of three starts since returning from a three year absence. He’s upped 9lb after winning at Newcastle but scored by nearly four lengths on that occasion and the hat-trick beckons for Mick Easterby’s charge. Star Glitter makes his handicap debut having left John Oxx for David O’Meara and is one to note.
