In depth
Verdict
Nataleena has been winning over longer trips but was well beaten on soft going in between. Maulesden May was placed at Musselburgh on her reappearance while Fiveandtwenty scored at Ripon on her comeback only to fold tamely at Wolverhampton last time. Golden Hind faced a tougher task in a higher grade at York on her handicap debut and can get involved at this level but DEFT (NAP) ran well over 1m2f at Newbury last month and, with this extra distance expected to suit the half-sister to an Oaks winner, Ralph Beckett’s filly gets the vote to make a winning start in handicaps.
