In depth

Verdict

A trappy handicap to sort through with a few lightly raced individuals open to improvement. Olivia Rose is exposed but at least comes here in good heart after what looked an unlucky run at Beverley last time. Always Daring has course experience and although this is her first outing this term, she is unlikely to need the run. Mr Wensleydale finally came good at Warwick, and now that he has got his head in front, that may have given his confidence a boost. Lord Melbourne, the winner of a couple of small events on the all-weather, returns from a break and will be happier over this trip, after appearing not to stay over a mile last time.
