NOTEBOOK won this in 2016 having won on his previous start here. He looked on the way back at Wetherby last week and though he isn't one to trust as he's refused to race on a couple of occasions a chance is taken on his behaviour here. Hey Bob lost his maiden tag at the 36th attempt at Southwell in November but couldn't handle a 5lb rise and slight step-up in grade at Musselburgh. Derrynane is usually well supported though has never really looked like winning over timber but Snowed In won here on New Year's Day and ran quite well under a penalty on a return visit ten days later. Bering Upsun ran poorly when well supported at Newcastle last time and Aza Run was well beaten at Uttoxeter after winning there earlier.
