Hunters Creek is from a yard in top form, is a course and distance winner, and is the TEAMtalk selection to defy top weight. The gelding by Persian Mews goes on any ground and his third behind Lord Moose at Newbury last season gives him every chance. Super Nomad, a half brother to Super Sammy who runs in an earlier race, looks the main danger. He has been in need of both his runs so far this season and on his best hurdle form he is well weighted. Emperor's Magic is also a course winner but his best form of late has been over longer trips and he may be done for toe in the early part of the race. Forest Dante could also go well but he has been beset by jumping problems of late. Woodfield Gale has had lots of trainers but he is well weighted on his best form and the switch to Tim Easterby could make all the difference. Dingo Dancer was a fair hurdler but he lacks scope for the larger obstacles and has yet to prove he can win off a mark this high over fences.
