        Verdict

        Despite scoring at Newcastle earlier this month, Medicine Jack is 1lb lower than when winning here in October though that was on soft ground. Excessable scored here in August but is 10lb higher after a couple of subsequent victories at Southwell. Eldelbar does best at Wolverhampton these days while Fendale appears best at Newcastle and found 5f too sharp there last time. Nine-times winner ROUND THE ISLAND (NAP) was in good form throughout last summer and returned to action with a close third at Ripon on Thursday, form that should give him an edge here.
