SMART LASS landed a double at Musselburgh with a wide-margin success over 1m5f in soft ground. Iain Jardine’s filly should have no problem with today’s longer distance on that evidence and can defy a 5lb penalty. Only Orsenfoolsies won over 2m1f on the Flat before scoring over hurdles and Masters Apprentice is another winner over timber. Nataleena’s recent success at Newcastle came over 2m but St Andrews is preferred on last month’s placed effort over track and trip behind Jan De Heem, who is due to run in the previous division. Archie's Sister may prove best of the rest.
