Verdict

BLACK HILL STORM had already won a couple of plating races before returning the easy winner of a handicap at Bath at the start of the week and can defy a penalty on that form. Musselburgh winner Shamlaan failed to cope with a 7lb rise last time while King Of Speed won a novices' race before struggling in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot. Just A Claim won a nursery at Haydock back in July and the remaining pair make their handicap debuts.
