Whispering Death should be a warm order to make a winning debut over hurdles with Stagecoach Amber and The Pious Prince two that could offer a little more value. Purchased for 145,000 gns in October, this smart staying handicapper had a bit of a reputation on the level as he didn't always look too keen to go past but five wins in twenty eight starts is not a bad return. If it were to come down to a battle in the straight there could be cause for concern but it's quite possible, given his class, that he could have the race won by then. Doctor Kilbride was below par last time but is entertained having shown ability whilst Stagecoach Amber's latest run was more encouraging and he should stay this far. River Tigris and Mr Maxim are exposed as average but The Pious Prince may be worth a more speculative interest. He's shown next to nothing over hurdles so far but he was a smart performer in bumpers and would be a threat to all if able to recapture that form. However, Whispering Death is fully expected to land the spoils.
