A typical end of season maiden can go to Kanad, who has all the appliances fitted today as he bids to grant Ben Hanbury a welcome winner. Chicken Soup and Bandexe make the most appeal out of the remainder and are expected to put up the most resistance - the latter being the least exposed edging the nomination in that personal battle. Foxy Gwynne put in a much improved display last time she raced and looks to be the rest of the rest judged on her Warwick run. However, Kanad, who sports a tongue tied and blinkers for the first time, is being given every assistance in his bid to get off the mark as he takes a further drop in class. Factors which make his case slightly stronger than the rest in a race that will not live long in the memory for anyone not directly concerned with the winner. Which we hope will be Kanad.
