In depth

Verdict

The Outlier can make winning return over Humid Climate, with The Frosty Ferret and Ground Breaker others in with a shout. The Venetia Williams stable is in good form at present and that can only augur well for the chance of The Outlier who has been biding his time in bumpers and over hurdles without success. The son of Roselier will surely come into his own over fences and is sure to have been well schooled. Humid Climate was ring-rusty on his return to action at Ludlow recently and should give a better account now, but this is the former Flat winner's first outing over fences as well. The Frosty Ferret also tackles fences for the first time, and with his stable in a bit of form, he too is worth a mention, while Ground Breaker had a taste of the bigger obstacles at Doncaster on his return from a six-month break and should be found a suitable opportunity in time. The rest are best watched, and it is The Outlier that makes most appeal.
