Verdict

Count D'Orsay was a beaten favourite in this sprint last year and finished third behind CHIPSTEAD (NAP) when the latter won the Portland at Doncaster. Roger Teal’s progressive colt was defying an 8lb rise on that occasion and looks worth sticking with given he handles the underfoot conditions. Stewards’ Cup runner-up Tabdeed has failed to repeat that form in three subsequent outings but Vintage Clarets finished in front of both Copper Knight and Show Me Show Me when second at York last week so goes on the shortlist. King Of Tonga has won twice at Chester this season but Motagally has plenty to find with the selection.
