Verdict
There was cut in the ground when NOT BAD FOR A BOY went very close over today's trip at Haydock in July. He's since been well beaten on good to firm and today's soft going may be the key to him. Richard Hannon's colt is preferred to Aleut, who failed to build on a promising effort at Carlisle when well beaten at Haydock last month, while Serene Oasis doesn't look any closer to winning. Zain Point may improve for the longer trip and the half-brother to a Fibresand winner, Kinloch Castle, is worth noting on his debut for last year's winning yard.
