Verdict

Spanish Angel hasn’t won on Turf since 2020 though he’s been in good form on the Tapeta and had Josies Kid back in third when scoring at Wolverhampton. The latter has placed again subsequently but FREEDOM FLYER (NAP) returned a cosy winner on soft going at Thirsk last week, when Captain Corcoran could only manage fourth, and Ruth Carr’s charge can defy a penalty on that evidence. Hot Scoop ended last season with a victory over track and trip while Isle Of Dreams showed good progress last year and has had a wind operation since.
