Mick Slates should have benefited from his run at Warwick and Steel Stockholder is another likely to improve from a recent outing. The latter had MUJAADEL behind when winning over this trip at Musselburgh in September but David Nicholls' charge proved his current well-being when successful at Wolverhampton last month and is still 8lb lower than when winning a better race at Doncaster 12 months ago - he can score again. Snow Bay, a former Nicholls inmate, is very well treated on his return and Shirley Teasdale takes off a further 5lb. If he's ready after a break, he could play a big part and is preferred to stablemate Summer Dancer and Viking Warrior of the others.
