In depth

Formwatch

Robbo A quirky type, who has scored some chase wins, last ran on the flat a year ago; coming from an in form yard but others preferred.

Tufty Hopper Ran well at Southwell last time to finish third to Destination; should appreciate the 2m.

Backwoods Second at Ayr recently over 2m1f. In better company on two previous runs, ground should not be a problem; must be considered.

Or Royal (FR) A long awaited win at Wolverhampton penultimate start, if things go his way today then he has every chance.

Distant Cousin Since winning at Lingfield last September, has shown very moderate form.

Simple Ideals (USA) Has been a regular campaigner since April, some credible placed form but needs to show more to win today.

Fairtoto A distance winner at Warwick penultimate start on GF, has ran well on GS also; should go close.

High Drama Back to back wins including here penultimate start. The softer ground would be a worry.

Rear Window Has not won a race since May 1998, having tried over hurdles and on the flat.

Ptah (IRE) Won a Handicap at Musselburgh over this distance on the soft in March, recent form does not bode as well, but cannot be ignored.

My Line Is yet to win a race, but ran his best contest when just beaten here on his penultimate start over a furlong shorter. Beaten Fav last time, but still looks unexposed; one for the short list.

Occam (IRE) Won on the soft last time over 1m7f, looked to be an improved performance; and off that run would go close today.

Established Only moderate form in last two starts, his second was on GF ground, and this softer ground will go against him today.

Master Fellow Steps up on trip today, but unlikely to see an improvement on the form figures.

House of Dreams Ran in a claiming hurdle at Sedgefield last time, better form has not been on this ground.
