In depth

Verdict

Rue De Paris has been on the go since June and certainly has patches of decent form which should be enough to make his presence felt in a weak race to start off the Catterick card. He ran in a hot race at Beverley last time, from which the winner has since followed up in good fashion, and Rue De Paris should find this much more his level. However he could find one or two improvers here including the TEAMtalk selection Blakeshall Quest who was in need of the run on his debut earlier this month and should be better for the experience. His trainer Mick Channon has enjoyed a golden spell recently, particularly with his two-year-olds, and a big run here can be expected. Of the others the main danger looks to be Seafield Towers who ran well last time to finish third in a decent race at Hamilton and although he has failed to take advantage of his best opportunities, this represents another decent opening. Raymond's Pride has also ran well against some decent two-year-olds and should be in the shake-up while stablemate Arabian Knight has been running respectably but may once again find one or two too good.
