        Verdict

        Meshardal will come in for support after a fine run at Southwell on his reappearance, though he's been beaten three times in lower grade since his victory at Southwell in May. Half A Billion has won at this level and from a higher mark so he could be a threat if ready after a winter's break, a remark that also applies to Straits Of Malacca though he's up 8lb for his last victory in much lower grade at Hamiliton in July. Reposer has won on heavy going and Polytrack so conditions won't be a problem, though he's gone up 2lb for finishing fifth on his latest start. The veteran SOLAR SPIRIT likes it around here and the ground should prove ideal so Robert Winston can steer him to another course victory.
