In depth

Verdict

There is not a great deal of form to go on in this bumper so the market should provide plenty of clues, but the leading lights look to be Westgrove Berry, Misleain and Mollyalice and the vote is given to the first mentioned. The selection is a half-sister to winning hurdler Topanberry and she hails from a yard that normally do well in these type of events. This does not look a strong contest and she should be up to making a winning debut. Misleain rates the main danger as she made a pleasing debut at Musselburgh when third behind Eden Linty. However, Nicky Richards should have good form form line on her as he had the second and fourth in that race and although Misleain should be thereabouts at the finish, we are happy to take her on today. Mollyalice is a well-bred filly and has to be of interest on her racecourse bow, especially with the useful claimer Stephen Craine in the plate. Keith Reveley has a good record in bumpers so his newcomer Morning Roses is one to note in the market, but for the winner we are happy to stick with Westgrove Berry.
