Elusive Lady is selected in the opener ahead of The Mighty One and Traitor's Gate. Elusive Lady's last two runs, particularly the latest on the all-weather, gives her claims, but very few of the others have shown much in the way of ability. Therefore, the Ann Duffield-trained newcomer, San Silvestro, and the Pat Haslam-trained newcomer The Mighty One have to be given serious thought. The Mark Johnston-trained Traitor's Gate is a potential improver, while Stagecoach Topaz showed improvement from run one to two when sixth at Catterick over six furlongs last time and can be given a shout. Once again, then, the selection is Elusive Lady.
