Maceo (GER) Ridden by Darley for course and distance win in August and races off the same mark today. Stable in fine form so definitely one for the shortlist.
Fatehalkhair (IRE) Sedgefield specialist over jumps, but one or two fair flat performances to his name. Others preferred, though.
Three Lions well treated at best but has been in pretty miserable form this season and hard to recommend.
Dark Victor (IRE) Twice a winner at around a mile recently but step up to this trip is far from certain to suit.
Merryvale Man Game winner at Newcastle last time but has yet to prove he genuinely stays this trip and would probably prefer the ground to be a bit softer.
Distant Cousin Stayed on well over 11 furlongs here last time but before that had not seemed to stay a mile and a half. Best watched here.
Puzzle Not shown much in three outings so far but travels a long way for his handicap debut and steps up in trip hear so any market interest could be worth noting.
Flite of Araby Held by Distant Cousin on recent form and hard to fancy.
High Policy (IRE) Won over two miles at Nottingham in September and two fair efforts since, although this trip may be on the sharp side for him.
Simple Ideals (USA) Possibly won a shade cosily at Redcar last time and every chance of following up on just a four pound higher mark.
Dashing Chief (IRE) Off the course for over two years and a winning return would seem unlikely.
Trotter's Future Formerly a consistent, progressive stayer with Alec Stewart. Has won twice over this trip and likely to go close for his new yard.
