In depth

Verdict

HERMAN HESSE, a son of Frankel, started out with John Gosden before transferring to France but it's David O'Meara who is getting the best out of him. The winner of a Class 4 over 1m6f here last month, he followed up easily at Nottingham and as the latter race was an apprentice event he can race from the same mark. Euro Implosion was 21 lengths behind in the former race but Lady Scatterley has been running well in testing conditions, scoring at Haydock before beaten a nose at Hamilton. Jamil makes a quick reappearance after a fair effort at Redcar on Saturday but has never raced over a trip this far.
