A competitive finale can go the way of AIR MAZE who is preferred to African Cheetah and Inspirina. Sir Mark Prescott's filly did not seem to get home at Wolverhampton last time and the key to her chance today is this drop back in trip. She had previously been running well and she looks to have a big chance here of regaining the winning thread. African Cheetah could give her the most to think about and he was well supported when a beaten favourite at Newcastle last time out and he is another who won't be inconvenienced by this drop in trip. Inspirina twice got his head in front back in July but he has since been a bit disappointing and he may be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Patavium, Nawamees and Rosewin have all won over the course and distance and none of the trio can be confidently ruled out. But Air Maze ticks plenty of boxes and she gets the pick.
