      Verdict

WAR POET looks the one to beat in this. Runner-up to a higher-rated rival in a claimer over 1m4f here last time, he should come out best on these terms. The remainder have all been struggling of late including Slide Show, well behind the selection here on her comeback, while Persian Herald recorded his only win on the Flat so far way back in 2010. Kathlatino won in soft ground at Newcastle over a year ago but Highway Pursuit has shown no worthwhile form in seven starts to date.
