It could be that gelding and a winter on his back would see him return as a potentially well-handicapped runner next season. If he gets back to the level of form that marked him down as promising earlier in the season then he too would have chances. Despite her breeding, Micklegate shaped as though this trip suited last time, although it was not a strong nursery. Could She Be Magic has bits of form and looks likely to improve at today's trip.
