        Verdict

        COME ON DAVE had shown little on his first three starts but nearly popped up at huge odds over C&D in August. He found only one too good on that occasion and, now the penny's dropped, Dandy Nicholls' charge is fancied to open his account here. Half A Billion will run his race but he usually finds at least a couple too good and the less-exposed Annie Beach makes more appeal after going close at Haydock three weeks ago. Regal Lady and Untold Melody are others to consider.
