Verdict

Bestiarius went close at Newcastle last month and can confirm running with third-placed Ex S'elance. El Jefe failed to cope off a higher mark last time having won at Sedgefield earlier while Shamrock Wine has run poorly either side of placing at the latter track. BALTIC BARON also ran at Sedgefield on his latest start when finishing a well beaten second in novice company behind the progressive A Different Kind. But he meets nothing of that calibre in this having subsequently undergone wind surgery and Brian Ellison’s charge is taken to make a winning handicap debut.
