A winner at Newton Abbot in September, PANIS ANGELICUS went close to following up when narrowly beaten at Taunton last time. This looks easier and Tim Vaughan’s charge gets the nod given today’s modest opposition. Bocasien Desbois was runner-up at Newcastle but reverted to his more usual poor form over these hurdles last time while Red Danaher was still beaten a long way when second at Sedgefield in November. Silver Dragon’s earlier success at the latter track now looks like a fluke and the rest are even harder to recommend.
