Rocco's Delight is by far the most interesting newcomer on show here, having scored four times on the Flat since the spring of 2015 at trips of 7f and 1m. He clearly will be a leading player if taking to timber but the hurdling experience of a similar sort in CIAO CIELO (NAP) may just swing the balance. A three-time winner on the level for David Barron, the Irish raider has shaped well on both starts over obstacles and his recent runner-up effort behind Le Vagabond at Tramore sets the standard. Macalla ran a stormer on his hurdling debut at odds of 150/1 when runner-up at Perth and requires shortlisting on that evidence, although his sole run since saw him tailed-off on the Flat at Ayr.
