In depth

Verdict

DEFINITE RUBY (NAP) has her first run since contesting a Grade 3 mares' chase at Clonmel in November but fitness is unlikely to be an issue. She found the heavy going too much that day but will relish conditions here and may have been let in lightly on her handicap debut over the larger obstacles. Bar De Ligne took advantage of a tumbling mark and a drop in grade to score at Market Rasen nine days ago but the faster ground here might be a problem. Alderbrook Lad beat Presenting Junior here last month but the pair are handicapped to finish upsides today and the former will struggle to reverse Perth running earlier with Witness In Court.
