MIKE TOWEY has gone under by less than a length the last twice at Ffos Las behind stablemate Strumble Head and at this venue when caught late on by Maoi Chinn Tire in a decent summer novice chase. He acts on both good and soft ground so forecast conditions should prove no problem. Nodform's Violet came back from a six-month break to post a fair second to Andrea Bambalero at Market Rasen and looks the sort to improve again over fences. He's the main danger. Mystified also finished second here in June over fences but the remainder of his fencing form is moderate and Andrew Crook's Irish import, Saville Row, is a better shortlist option.
